Back starting Monday

Welcome to October, everyone. Sorry we haven’t been around in a while. Over the weekend, I’ll be queuing up some posts to get us back on track next week. In the meantime, I thought I’d leave you with this music video. Perhaps you’ve already seen it before… but I’ve watched it dozens of times now and I’m not bored of it in the least.     Andy Warhol said that in the future we would all be famous for 15 minutes. I think AutoTune is going to insure we all become singing sensations.

    Agreed. I saw a few comments on the YouTube page to the effect of, “How come this isn’t on the radio? It’s better than half the songs I hear every day.” And I never would have described Carl Sagan’s voice as particularly aurally pleasing before. (I mean, I liked it, but mostly because it’s silly how he says “billions.”)

    Katie Couric is especially awesome at auto-tune singing.

    I think that auto-tune is a gimmick and it will get old in due time.
